SUMMARY
Species characterized by a medial tooth in the posterior margin of the scutellum, like E. adornata and E. hermosa. Eosphaerophoria dentiscutellata differs from E. hermosa in having a medial black facial vitta, and from E. adornata in having 2nd tergum black with lateral margin yellow and 5th tergum with two lateral yellow maculae. Its male genitalia is similar similar to the genitalia of E. vietnamensis, both with asymmetrical superior lobes like in E. marginata, but E. dentiscutellata has superior lobe slightly larger and different surstylus shape.
