SUMMARY
This genus is similar to Meliscaeva Frey and Melangyna Verrall. It differs from Meliscaeva Frey by having flat anterior portion of anepisternum, long and erect hairs absent; from Melangyna Verral by having posterior margin of wing with a series of minute, discrete, closely spaced, black sclerotized dots, and terga 3 and 4 each with broad transverse yellow fascia basally. Male terminalia distinct (from original description, Huo & Zheng 2005).
