Tribe: SyrphiniGenus: Lapposyrphus
Species:
Lapposyrphus lapponicus (Zetterstedt)
SUMMARY
Species very similar to Lapposyrphus aberrantis (Curran, 1925). Vockeroth (1992) provided a key to differenciate them and stated that L. lapponicus has terga 3 and 4 each with pair of well-separated yellow maculae or, in some females, terga entirely black. On the other hand, L. aberrantis has terga 3 and 4 each with undivided yellow fascia.
